So, it’s been a little over a month since the wedding and things are going better than I could’ve ever known.

Being married is a fantastic thing. It’s refreshing to have someone to go home to that knows you and loves you and wants to be as close to you as you want to be to them. It’s like having your best friend over to play all the time. So… that was a good move, we’ve decided.

I have a new job and it also is just what I was hoping for. I now work with computers (more directly, that is) and the work atmosphere is an exponential improvement over my previous experience (here in the States, that is). Gone are the days of being nervous when I go into work, and gone is the heirarchial system of discomfort and politic that I had before. Now I work with a dozen guys that all work together for the same goal instead of worry about their rank, and that is immensely refreshing.

I miss Austria more than ever, though, and I miss the people. My friend Bernie was able to come over for our wedding and that one sacrificial move made me miss everyone all the more. It’s just plain fact: those Austrians (and, naturalized Austrians) are good people.

(As an aside, I am working on a liederhosen video for you guys. Do be patient!)

So, everything is going well. Really awesome, actually. I don’t have a complaint to think of and I just thought I’d write to thank everyone for their part in that–whether it was in coming to the wedding or helping us plan or just keeping us in your thoughts…
